Compete RI & Rhode Island communities
Compete RI was initiated in 2022 to showcase Rhode Island's strengths and bring communities together. The initiative has connected cities, towns, agencies, and educational institutions to collaborate on the state's future, leveraging federal grants and funding opportunities. We serve as a hub for convening, connecting, and collaborating, and has received recognition for its successful approach to federal funding.
The initiative has assisted in securing over $1. 5 billion in grant funding and engaged with every city and town in the state, along with higher education institutions.
As we plan for the months ahead, we will work with partners to build capacity for municipalities and coalitions that are advancing innovative projects that benefit Rhode Island.
